This week I’ll be blogging and tweeting experiences and observations from SHRM in Las Vegas.
I try hard to keep this blog topical, and not a sales pitch. Most entries are fairly product and company agnostic. This first blog from SHRM I thought I’d be the good corporate citizen and highlight some of the announcements and summarize what Kronos will be sharing with attendees at the show (my main role at Kronos is Product Marketing…)
Product innovation has been a primary focus for Kronos recently, and the industry is responding. Our new user interface for the Workforce Central Suite was recently recognized with a Best Product award from Network Products Guide’s Hot Products and Best Companies awards. Kronos Workforce Mobile also won the 2011 TekTonic award from HRO Today under the category of Best Workforce Management Solution (time/attendance). In a recent Kronos survey, 67.7% of respondents (HR & Payroll administrators and managers) said they believe they could be more productive with employee and manager self-service in conjunction with mobile technology. Both Kronos products will be on display at the Kronos booth #2447 in the expo hall this week.
The company is really making an impact with customers, as many users are expanding beyond using Kronos for time and attendance and evolving to the Workforce Central Suite – adding Talent Acquisition, HR, Payroll, Scheduling and Labor Analytics. Specifically, the Kronos HR/Payroll solution continues to add simplicity, automation and enhanced employee self-service capabilities for users all through fully unified system. This integrated; full suite approach to simplifying workforce management seems to be a significant focus for many leading companies now, as seen in a recent IDC report by @lisarowan and @scottguinn – Worldwide Human Capital Management Applications 2010 Vendor Shares:
Increasingly, buyers are looking for simpler vendor management and lowered complexity in technology. Fewer sources of “the truth” when it comes to the workforce enable better reporting and deployment of analytics — a goal HR is looking to achieve. As such, buyers are looking for more coverage from their vendors and willing to sacrifice a bit of functionality for breadth of coverage.
The magician is back! If you didn’t get a chance to see him last year (if you were at the show I’m sure you did, the crowds were packed in the aisles) he’s awesome. Very funny and extremely talented… Be sure to check him out.
